Michael Jackson Opens Neverland Ranch
Wed Aug 27, 7:41 AM ET
LOS ANGELES - Like a real-life Willy Wonka, Michael Jackson (news) has announced plans to open his carnival-style Neverland Ranch estate to 500 guests.
The invitation-only event, set for Sept. 13, is a one-time-only gathering, complete with dinner, magicians, games and a tractor-trailer full of stuffed animals, according to Jackson publicist Stuart Backerman.
Tickets for two people cost $5,000, with $1,000 from each sale being divided among three charities. Jackson will keep the rest — Backerman said it would pay for costs of the party.
Jackson's Neverland Ranch, in Santa Barbara County, includes an amusement park with bumper cars, a merry-go-round and a Ferris wheel.
Guests also will receive a "goodie bag" worth about $1,000 and an original painting by Brazilian (news - web sites) artist Romero Britto.
Backerman said 250 tickets will go on sale, potentially worth $1.25 million. The maximum $250,000 charitable donation will be split between the Make-A-Wish Foundation for sick children; Oneness, dedicated to erasing racism through art and music; and E Ai Como E Que Fica, a Rio de Janeiro group that provides food, clothing and medical care to impoverished children.
Jackson's former financial advisers settled a lawsuit against him in June that suggested he was overburdened with debt and near bankruptcy. That has led to speculation that the Neverland property, recently assessed at $12.3 million, would go on the market.
Woohoo, Neverland.....who want to go anyway? LOL.......

Okay, we've juz received news that the boy had died. Lixi the Councillor told me. Gonna asked him how he know one but he now "away". Will try to confirm the news later. Strange. Every year, since 2000, a boy's life had been claimed every year. I think the first guy who died, when falling from outside Kah Kee Hall was not appeased. Yes, I'm speaking on school history. Do you know why the tian1 xia4 zhi1 ma3 is sculptered? Yes, it's because to "chase" away the bad luck. It's up to you whether to believe our school is JINXED. Earlier in the year, Raymond the band guy jumped to death, following the Kah Kee Hall one. Now, another boy fell down hill and died. Omigod..... Wishing that Lixi is lying right now......
Today is WAY boring, along with History test. Math exempted liao, Sci still needed 6 cps. Piaing for cps liao. Now, today is REAL exciting later in the afternoon. This afternoon, at around 3.45pm-4pm, we were training volleyball as usual. Then, we saw a fleeting figure falling down from the top of the hill opposite the canteen, where the hostel was built, like crumbling walls. It was raining before and the hill was wet. Any Tom, Dick and Harry would have chose the long way down the cement path, but that CHS boy chose the shortcut. Paid the price. He came sliding down, then sideways, and slammed into the drain. Blood spilled. Raw flesh. Ravaged mind. Dead cold eyes. Cuts and bruises inflicted on the head and legs. Part of his gum, along with the teeth jutted - OUT OF HIS MOUTH. The gory sight was a first for me. At first, we thought he was...dead, with his cold dead eyes and still reaction. Then he moved. Literally, we all knew "gasping for short breaths". I really comprehended the meaning now. The boy gasped for breath, making a noise like the submarine in the Sg Navy commercial. Then paused for a few seconds. And continued. I think he could not talk or move. His neck seemed broken. The grunge in the drain turned crimson red. He had no control of neither his mind, nor his pitiful remains of his body. Then we saw it, told our teacher-in-charge, who in turn informed the boy's Squash coach, First Aid team and Mr Teng. They came few minutes later, applying First Aid Kit, lifting him out of the drain carefully. They tried speaking to him, expecting answers from the boy, but to no avail. The boy was unable to speak with his damaged jaws, only emitting melacholic cries and moans. His eyelids began to feel heavy and he finally passed out. Our seniors took the initiative to call the ambulance, which came about 20 minutes later, driving slowly. The rescue team made up of some guys and a few women in blue uniforms with jagged arrow symbols on the shoulder. They came, strolling so freely, seeming not caring about the boy's life. Perhaps they thought he was another goner. Perhaps they thought it was another small case for them. No one knows. They put him on the stretcher and off they go to the ambulance, to NUH or Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The volleyball team was shocked and astonished. No one was in the mood to continue our training. The gory scene and raw flesh torn from the mouth by the wrath of Nature. Hell. Rain ensued an hour later, washing away the bloody grunge in the drain and clear water replaced their predecessors. It was remembered however. Imprints of blood still held on to the rocks. Still raw.
